The Gifts From God by Annie Zhao & Andrew Zhao
Our color-pencil illustration, The Gifts From God depicts the blessings that God gives to his children. The main verse expressed is Psalm 46:10. This verse tells us to be patient and to put our trust in God. God holds our futures and is all-powerful. Additionally, my brother and I chose other verses that affirmed us in different situations. We summarized the verses to emphasize the main points. These Bible verses were inspired by what we learned from our church community and personal devotions. This has given us courage and faith throughout the pandemic and beyond. Through an artistic approach, we want to share the message of God’s everlasting love to others. Throughout this summer, we spent a lot of time on this drawing. I believe no matter what different backgrounds we come from, God’s love is for everyone.
“Stop striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.” (Psalms 46:10)
