How Blessed Are God’s Children by Susan Song & Susanna Lee

 

 

I made a decision to believe in the Lord in Tianjin, China in January 1994, and this decision changed my life. Looking back on the years from my first belief, my growth, to my maturity, I am very grateful to be a child of God, not only to be spared from sins, but also to follow His guidance step by step to experience an abundant life full of peace and joy. After I believed in the Lord in Tianjin, I studied the Bible with some overseas missionaries, and also participated in some evangelization and spiritual cultivation activities. Just like what it said in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” As my spiritual life gradually grew, Heavenly Father also answered my prayer and brought a Christian brother from southern China to me in 2002, who is my current husband. After we got married, I went back to Hong Kong with him to attend worship at the Missionary Mission and the Anglican Church in Hong Kong. We served together at the Anglican Church of St John the Baptist, I taught Sunday School and he was treasurer. At that time, every Sunday was the happiest day for our family. The two children urged us to go to church early, the children attended Sunday school, and the adults attended worship. Lunch with fellow parishioners after worship. During the monthly meeting, the children waited for us while playing with other children.

In 2016, Heavenly Father led us to Los Angeles again, and we chose to stay at First Chinese Baptist Church in Walnut. Every summer, the Cantonese church holds a retreat, and my husband and I will participate. After each retreat, we will be refreshed and inspired in our spiritual life. This year, Dr. Agnes Ip told us about four different connections: people and God, people and people, people and themselves, and people and happiness. This drama was performed by us at the graduation ceremony. All the content is original and based on the daily life of our Christians. There are two factors to become a blessed child of God: one is the true rebirth, becoming a true child of God; the other is the connection and mutual support with each member, that is, brothers and sisters. Sorry, because the recording distance is a bit far away, the picture and sound quality is not the best, but our love for the Lord and man is sincere!

 

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
