His Grace is Sufficient by Yvette Yip & Joey Lau
This has always been a favorite Bible verse and was learned during my teenage years. I also heard of it being quoted by a Chinese celebrity during an interview about the lost of her son due to illness. And I am grateful that God has been providing and protecting our family all these years. Joey finished the sketch one night two weeks ago. Then he finished the coloring yesterday while he is home recovering from a very bad sore throat and coughing, after he returned from a church camp last Sunday. Despite our family trip to Denver was cancelled last Monday due to Joey’s sickness, but we can totally feel the Bible verse reflected on Joey’s conditions. We considered taking him to the emergency room due to his shortness of breath last Sunday night. And luckily he was able to go to sleep after getting advice from the Nurse and his auntie over the phone. Joey was able to sleep after I prayed with him. His conditions improved over these few days. Hopefully he will be well enough for the start of another school year next Monday.
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 )
