How Can Youth Workers Have Healthy Dialogue with Parents?

Training youth workers to have healthy dialogue with parents

 

Course Objectives:

– Understand the traditional dynamics and core values within a typical Asian-American family.

– Enhance the partnership between parents and youth workers in youth ministry.

– Use discussion questions and case studies to aid parents and youth workers in establishing healthy dialogue and to communicate ministry expectations.

– Clarify roles of parents and youth workers in youth ministry, and help youth workers identify and establish healthy relationship boundaries in their ministry context.

– Provide tools for youth workers to communicate with parents and youths

 

Audience:  Youth workers and those who support youth ministry

 

Structure:

– 3-week lesson plan (1.5-2 hours/lesson)

– For group of youth workers led by a trained leader (required that leaders of this curriculum have completed Presence’s Healthy Dialogue Conceptual Training)

 

Course Materials Needed: 

 – Leader’s Guide (English)

 – Study Guide for each registered student (English) 

 – Leader Access to course PowerPoint slides and videos (English Audio + English Captions)
